FIRST ROLL-OUT FOR WEPOL ROAD RACING
IRRC - International Road Racing Championship Preparation

The WEPOL Road Racing Team used the sunshine in Alcarràs, Spain to end the hibernation of their BMW Motorrad S1000RR. With the new season of the International Road Racing Championship (IRRC) approaching, it was the first time for Davey Todd, Daley Mathison and Marek Cervený onboard their Superbikes in 2019. Within two days, the team completed an intensive twelve session programme in mild and dry Spanish conditions.

Being on the bikes again after their last race in 2018 on Chinese soil at the Macau Grand Prix ?????????, the trio started easy in order to gain a feeling for the Superbike. Throughout the first day, the team was working hard to adjust the settings to the needs of the riders, while especially Mathison pointed out the comfort of riding with the electronic suspension. Big changes and a variety of settings tryouts left Davey Todd in a positive mood after the day one and with the possibility to focus on speed on the second day. Marek Cerveny marked strong improvements in not only the bike settings but as well in riding style and feeling.

Overall, the team and riders left the Spanish track motivated and all set for the 2019 IRRC season. The first race will be in Hengelo, NL on May 11-12 2019 and the final bike design will be revealed there. The goals for the season are more than clear for Cerveny, Mathison, Todd and the WEPOL Road Racing crew – defending the team crown.
