Daley and the team were over the moon with their first, End of Season Winter Ball held at Bannatyne Hotel Darlington.
The reason behind the event, was to catch-up with everyone and finally, have a drink or two to celebrate the year but also, to raise money for two charities that are close to Daley's heart - Northumbria Blood Bikes and the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. ?
Northumbria Blood Bikes are a charitable organisation, established by local volunteers to deliver essential blood and urgent medical supplies, out of hours, between hospitals and healthcare sites in North East England. This charity mixes his love for bikes, with the need for emergency services and Daley would have certainly volunteered himself, if it wasn’t for his busy racing schedule and other commitments.
The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation is something a little more personal to Daley as unfortunately, his best friend James, died recently after a short battle with cancer. The SBR Foundation supported James during his illness so Daley wanted to give something back to say thank you for everything that they did.
?Finally and most importantly, Daley and the team would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended and everyone involved in donating prizes. ?The team were privileged to receive such amazing support from sponsors, who donated some fantastic prizes which included the "money cannot buy" Name an Eddie Stobart truck, World Superbike tickets and track days to name but a few.
